It's never too late to say "Thank You!"
Written by Barbara Hartley

Everyone loves to hear those two words and people who make “Thank You”  a part of their everyday vocabulary reap the rewards of their graciousness daily.

Here are some quick thank-you tips:

On a few occasions, a verbal or email thank you may be enough – but frequently a more significant thank you is called for.  If you really want to make an impact, (and why wouldn’t you?) sending a note or card, perhaps accompanied by a gift, is more powerful.

Unexpected thank you’s have tremendous power
. When was the last time you sent a note of thanks to the teacher or the coach? How about the organ player at church? Or the person who volunteers to help run your charity group or networking group?  Volunteers, especially, should be thanked often and by many people – sadly, it rarely happens.

Finally, it is never too late to say, “Thank You!”  Of course, a timely thank you is great, but late is always better than never.  And there’s no need to go on and on explaining your excuses. Just a simple, “Pardon me for being so slow, but I want to thank you for…..”  Who knows…someone may still be waiting to hear those magic words from you.  Better late than never.
